When Jack trades their milking cow in exchange for some magic beans, his mother is so furious, she sends him to bed without any supper. But overnight the magic beans grow into an enormous beanstalk that Jack climbs up right into the sky and encounters a fierce giant who has lots of treasure. An old English fairytale.
